Brainstorm Psychological Services provides psychological testing to adults, adolescents, children, and toddlers. We currently offer testing for ADHD, autism, learning disabilities, diagnostic evaluations, competency evaluations, intellectual testing, disability determination and more. We plan to also offer individual and group therapy in the near future.
Test Evaluations/Appointments
Initial Consultation
A free 15-minute phone consultation is required to ensure that Brainstorm Psychological Services is a good fit for you and the type of evaluation you are needing. Please call (918) 216-0162 or email info@brainstormps.com for a free consultation. If Brainstorm is a good fit for you, we will assign a psychologist and schedule the First Appointment.
First Appointment
The First Appointment usually lasts 1 to 2 hours. During the First Appointment, you and your assigned psychologist will discuss and gather background information and formulate a testing plan based on your needs. We will also schedule the testing session(s). Depending on the age of a child, the First Appointment may include parents only or include the parents and the child.
Testing Session(s)
Depending on your evaluation plan or age of a child, testing may take place over multiple days. During the testing session(s), you/your child will complete a variety of psychological tests measuring different areas of functioning. In order to get the most accurate results, we ask that you/your child come to the testing session(s) well-rested. We offer breaks when needed throughout testing. If, during testing, your psychologist recommends any changes to the evaluation plan, they will discuss this with you.
Feedback Session/Report
During the feedback session, your clinician will review the final Psychological Evaluation Report including any diagnoses and recommendations. We want you to leave this session having a full understanding of the evaluation results, so we make sure to answer all of your questions during this time. We will also discuss if you would like us to send the report to anybody, such as schools or therapists. From start to finish, the full evaluation process should take between 2-4 weeks.
